It’s going to be a big one.
Save the date for the next Stories We Don’t Tell happening on Saturday, May 31st, 2025. A link to RSVP will be coming soon. After a winter break, we were so excited to be back last month in March. We want to thank all the storytellers for their incredible stories, the audience for being the best one in the city, and our hosts who are always so welcoming!

II. FRIENDS
Let’s write together.
Here’s a note from Paul: last year, I was introduced to this amazing writing workshop. Between writing for my day job and for things like SWDT, I rarely get the opportunity to just write for myself. I had such a wonderful time at this workshop that I’ve been back many times since. The facilitator, Angelica, is so warm and welcoming and there certainly is some alchemy that happens during those two hours. If you’re interested, please connect with her at the email address below.
So, we felt some of the people who enjoy SWDT might also find this workshop interesting. And, we are always happy to share information about individuals who are doing great things and bringing people together in a creative way.
Here’s some info from Angelica:
Hi everyone! My name is Angelica and I run low-pressure, prompt-based writing workshops the last Sunday of every month (11-1pm and 2-4pm) out of Clark Park Films, a gorgeous west-end studio. There's no preparation and no homework, so we all just gather for a few hours and make magic. Artists of all stripes have joined to gain new perspectives, but absolutely no experience is necessary either. Sliding scale $25-45, but no writer has *ever* been turned away for financial reasons. For more info, please email writetogether.rightnow@gmail.com and/or check out @write.hear.right.now.
III. SWDT PODCAST
More to come.
We know, we’ve made that promise before. But, we always come through with more episodes, it just might take a little longer then we anticipated. Anyway, we are mapping out a new summer season of episodes, but for now, please enjoy this 10 year retrospective series!
The Stories We Don’t Tell Podcast has almost 150 episodes. Each episode includes a live story recorded at our event and a brief discussion about storytelling. We have also done mini-series about the art of storytelling and writing, dispensing some tips and tricks we’ve learned after working with people and their stories for 10 years.
The latest season of the SWDT Podcast celebrates 10 years of Stories We Don’t Tell. Check out these 10 episodes that includes interviews with SWDT alumni as they reflect on their participation in the event.

IV. THE BOOK
Diary writing.
The book version of Stories We Don’t Tell includes 61 stories that were all told in front of a live audience at one of our shows. The authors have generously contributed these pieces of their lives to be included in this book. Along with each newsletter, we feature a summary of a story from the book.
Since Angelica’s workshop is about personal writing, we thought it was good to showcase a story from the book that is about a diary. And also, it’s a story written by old friend of the show and current event producer, Veronica Antipolo.
This is why I had to write about it. I had to see it on paper. Maybe the words I wrote could explain to me what I was feeling and explain to me what the truth was. I can’t tell things apart when they’re swirling around inside of me. My thoughts and my feelings are caught in whirlpools in my head and in my heart. I can’t tell which whirlpool I’m in sometimes, and I can’t recognize what is swirling past me. But, I can catch them with words when I write.
Each story in the book created a memorable moment in front of a roomful of people. Moving through this anthology is an experience where these many moments complement and reflect each other, contradict and draw parallels, have profound wisdom and absurdity. Learn more about the book and order your very own copy at this link.
